Well, it’s been quite a week out there, hasn’t it?  The Boston Marathon bombs and the West, Texas, fertilizer plant explosion, people being horribly injured and killed, manhunts, relief efforts, and all the rest that’s happened over the past week.  But you didn’t come here to be reminded of the news in the real world; you came here for an escape from all that, a bit of poppycock.  You know what poppycock is, right?  It’s a mix of popcorn, glazed nuts, toffee, and other goodies, a delicious snack, packed with both good-for-you and don’t-overdo treats.  It is also, of course, a more refined way of saying bullshit, but either way, it’s a fun word to say, don’t you think?  Poppycock!  You try it.  Say it with me.  Poppycock!  See?  It’s fun to say, isn’t it?  We need fun in the world, especially after a week like this last one.  We need poppycock.

Perhaps you noticed that the blog has been stuck on the ‘Hello, world!’ post for over a week, with nothing going on otherwise.  Well, I’m afraid that was my fault.  I thought it was an issue with our hosting, but it wasn’t.  I couldn’t log in to the blog dashboard for more than a week, after having to change our entire hosting plan and having to start over completely from scratch.  The whole problem was my local cache, apparently – once it was cleared out, I was able to log in with no problem.  Umm, I feel really stupid about it, but, hey, I never have claimed to be any kind of computer expert; I’m just the one who has a tiny little bit more computer and internet savvy than the other two, so they put me in charge of the blog.  Yeah.

Anyway, so we have to start all over again with the Poppycock Publishing blog.  Our new hosting plan, though, is supposed to have daily backups pre-configured already.  If/when I can figure out how to access those, that’ll be (hopefully) the end of these restarts and reboots we’ve been suffering with the last several weeks.

Tammy, of Team Poppycock
